Big sigh of relief you didnt buy the 8 inch speakers. You need a surprisingly large, well-controlled room to go up even just that big. Let us know how you get on with the interface(s) - hopefully the new toys will put a smile back on your face.
i am listening at relatively low volume at nominal volumes the hs5 fit my mid sized room . Im getting some stands but figuring out where to put them is impossible . they also come with rolloff at 500hz and +/-2bd at 2k im clueless about these options i doubt im monitoring loud enough to need a bass rolloff and 500hz seems pretty high i actually recorded an a/b of the ur12 vs the ur22 but it would be silly to post i gotta overcome this G.AS.

sorry james i dont know why I posted the clip its a terrible gutar chain the sm7b has a bass proximity effect im using my austin stealth for now the 7b works on vox at least my guitar mic got "lost" so im really not sure what to do about it I can reant an AKG C214 for $40 please dont recomender a 57 for a gutar mic  heres a sm7b through a ur22 interface *I normalized the file then glued it (if you can hear a difference ,..you may be an engineer;););)
I wouldn't recommend SM57, which is a mic that I've disliked as long as I can remember. You'll notice I recommended Samson Q7X ($70 at various stores), which is similar to Shure Beta 58A. That's fairly different from SM57 (significantly more natural sounding).
I appreciate your input james but i can afford something in the 250-450 range Im recording an archtop guitar so i do need a quality mic ill be trying out the 'Stealth' mic for guitar Im still trying to figure out my room/ gear situation with the new monitors placement is a problem havent done much recording i dont know if this would suit my purpose Apex 580 Multi-Pattern FET Condenser Microphone $250 ( on CL) theres also AKG ACOUSTICS P220 avaliable for 169
