Empty a mediaitem ?

Hi, I'm looking for a way (by script) to empty an existing mediaitem. The fact is that I want some mediaitem to display its Text Notes on itself in the arrange view, and even to directly open the Notes page on double click, like native empty items do. (the ones created by the "insert empty item" action). But when I create a media item by Ctrl-drag, as a do as usual, it seems that it creates an empty midi mediaitem with no events in it, not an empty item with no takes at all. Any idea ?

it is not that tedious, only few lines of code under the hood. The other solution is just delete all take of the item sontjar it become... empty.

You have to use API functions, not actions,.which often have extra behavior. Use SWS delete take for that.

Without the SWS API function, your only chance left is Take Chunk parsing. EDIT: but this is even more line of code than the method of creating a new items, and is less efficient CPU wise I think. So... If you want concision... SWS API function is the way to go.
